Home...Sweet....Home

Well we have made it home from Gatlinburg and it was wonderful. Although we spent a week without internet lol but was worth spending that extra time together. Sunday we got to the hotel around 1:00 but couldn't get to our room until 4:00. We were not happy. Both of us were tired and aggravated. So we sat in our car for about 2 hours and then I checked on our room but still wasn't ready. So we drove to Ramsey Cascade trailhead. Driving up there was kinda scary with a mountain on one side and drop off on the other. We were meeting cars after cars going back down. So finally got back to our hotel and finally got our room. That night we walked downtown and ate at HardRock!! Monday we got up and for Doug's birthday we ate breakfast at Pancake Pantry, went to the Craftsman's Fair, did some of the Art and Craft Community and ate at the Peddler that night. The Peddler was great!!! They came to the table and cut our steak right there. Tuesday we ate breakfast at the Old Mill, went shopping at Tanger Outlet, bought a new Christmas tree at the Christmas Place and ate supper at The Partridge and Pear. The Partridge and Pear was wonderful food, great service....all around pleasent dinning. Wednesday we got up early and went to Ramsey Cascades. We didn't know what to expect but was really excited about doing something competely different. So we started the trail about 8:30. We walked over rocks, tree roots and crossed two bridges. I didn't like the bridges so much. Finally another couple cought up to us and showed us the rest of the trail. When we finally got there (2 hrs and 30 mins) it was breathe taking. The waterfall was absolutely gorgeous!!! I fell in love with hiking and seeing God's wonderful creations. We stayed at the fall about 30 mins and then decided to hike back down. Coming down was so much easier than going up. We got back to the car in about 2 hours. We had lunch at the English Pub at the Art and Craft community. We went to some shops there and then back to the room. We walked the strip some more then to Sevierville to go to Wal-Mart to grab some laundry soap and other things. We had Geno's Pizza for supper and it was great. Thursday we were going to get up and go to Cades Cove and hike Abrams Falls but we were so sore from hiking 8 miles Wednesday. So I washed some clothes at the hotel's laundry room and then we got ready and went back to the Craftman's Fair. Then we drove to Piegon Forge and ate at Huckfinn's for supper.
